How do I get my proof-of-insurance document (Cover Note) for my PfCO application?

When applying (or renewing) your PfCO, you need to declare that you have valid insurance in place at the time of your application.

Flock’s proof-of-insurance certificate

With Flock, you can get your proof of EC785/2004 compliant insurance for free using our 'Cover Note.' It’s valid for 12 months, and CAA approved!

It's only the first page of your Cover Note that is personalised with your details. The rest of the document is a sample policy for a hypothetical flight.

This means that you can make the declaration on your application, and then wait until you’ve received your PfCO from the CAA and have a commercial job lined up before you take out one of our monthly or annual commercial policies.

You will need to submit your 'Flock registration ID' to the CAA as your policy number.

How to get your insurance certificate:

To get your Cover Note, all you need to do is:

  • Login to your Flock account via our desktop version.

  • Go you 'Your Account'

  • Click 'Get an Insurance Cover Note.'

  • Amend the policyholder name.

  • You'll be able to download the PDF document.
