When applying (or renewing) your PfCO, you need to declare that you have valid insurance in place at the time of your application.

Flock’s proof-of-insurance certificate

With Flock, you can get your proof of EC785/2004 compliant insurance for free using our 'Cover Note.' It’s valid for 12 months, and CAA approved!

It's only the first page of your Cover Note that is personalised with your details. The rest of the document is a sample policy for a hypothetical flight.

This means that you can make the declaration on your application, and then wait until you’ve received your PfCO from the CAA and have a commercial job lined up before you take out one of our Pay-as-you-fly, or Fly Unlimited commercial policies.

You will need to submit your 'Flock registration ID' to the CAA as your policy number.

How to get your insurance certificate:

You can get yours instantly emailed to you in under 20 seconds with the Flock Cover app.

To do this:

  1. Download the app (for free) and create an account.
  2. Click on the 'Your Details' tab in the main menu, and you'll see the option to ‘Get an insurance Cover Note’.
  3. Enter the policyholder's name (making sure it matches the name of the legal entity stated in your application. For more info on this, click here. )
  4. Hit the big yellow button at the bottom and your personalised Cover Note will be ready and waiting in your email inbox!
